Using Art to Solve Crime: A Look

into the Fascinating World of Forensic Art

Wednesday, March 13, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

$5 before March 1 / $10 March 2-13

Gather your friends and fellow readers and join us for an exciting evening at "Book-It!"- - a new Southside Community Center forum to present authors and ideas in a casual environment. Meet Carrie Stuart Parks and learn about her career as a forensic artist and novelist. Carrie, who is an award-winning artist, writer, speaker, and law enforcement instructor, will talk about her career working for the FBI, ATF and police and sheriff's departments in the United States as a forensic artist and her series of Gwen Marcie novels. The evening will include questions and answers, discussion, a no-host bar and light hors d'oeuvres.

A native of Coeur d’Alene, Carrie is a certified forensic artist. She and her husband work on major national and international cases and also create fine art. They travel internationally, teaching forensic art to agencies from the Secret Service, the FBI, and large law enforcement groups to the smallest two-persn departments.
Carrie’s “Gwen Marcie” novels which chronicle a forensic artist from Montana are loosely based on her forensic cases. Carrie's novels have received numerous awards and met with critical acclaim. For more information about Carrie visit http://www.carriestuartparks.com.

To join us, reserve your space by calling (509) 535-0803. The first 35 paid guests will receive an author’s goodie bag. The cost is $5 per person before March 1 and $10 after March 1 and at the door March 13.
